Government agencies have reached out to farmers by purchasing over 3,740 tonnes of pulses, mostly moong and urad, at minimum support price this kharif season.
These purchase prices are set high enough to enable dairy processors to pay farmers at least the support price for the milk they use in manufacturing these products.
