A cuartera is a dry measure which equates to approximately fifteen pecks of barley, and one day later, the king reaffirmed the promises of granting land.
An alternative name, which allowed a different usage with metric prefixes, was the stre, still sometimes used for dry measure (for instance, in reference to wood).
