Most everything is homemade, from the uncooked tomato sauce infused with fresh basil to the assertive red wine vinaigrette on crisp tossed salad ($7), the dressing stained red by paprika.
A tossed salad on the side wasn't especially adventurous, made with just lettuce, cucumber and tomato, but it was prepared fresh to order, and that means a lot.
