Measurements carried out with the pulse calorimeter and their evaluation were analysed by the Finite Element Method, and possible deviations were quantitatively determined, which possibly occur during evaluation of the measurements due to the fact that simplifications are made or some effects are neglected.
The pulse method allows the thermal capacity cp, the specific resistance (and the hemispherical total emissivity) of metals to be determined in the temperature range between 50 °C and 1500 °C with an uncertainty of measurement of approx. 2% [1,2].
