Eine besondere Herausforderung wartet bei der Installation des rund 25 Tonnen schweren Teleskops auf dem Berggipfel auf Kayser-Threde :
Einzelteile mit einem Gewicht von bis zu fünf Tonnen müssen per Lastenhubschrauber hochgeflogen und dann mit einem extra installierten Baukran in der Kuppel montiert werden.
Die à œ bergabe des Teleskops ist für 2011 vorgesehen.

Single components with of up to 5 tons must be flown up with freight copters and mounted in the dome with the aid of a building crane to be transported there for this purpose.
The official handover of the telescope is scheduled for 2011.
