This Red Polished Pottery or Red Polished Ware is an index fossil of the Cypriote early Bronze Age from the 3rd millennium on and reaches up to the middle Bronze Age.
The vessels were handmade and more or less polished before firing , what sometimes gave them a strong glance .
High polished vessels, like the G 212, seem to come from the north of Cyprus, while vessels with a matt surface are located in central and southern Cyprus.

Die Gefäße wurden mit der Hand gemacht und wurden vor dem Brennen mehr oder weniger poliert, was ihnen manchmal einen starken Glanz verleiht.
Hochpolierte Gefäße wie G 212 scheinen eher aus Nordzypern zu kommen, während Gefäße mit matter Oberfläche ihre Verbreitung in Zentral- und Südzypern gefunden haben.

This arrangement is still more or less preserved today .
Library, auditorium and original collection were housed in the side wings of the Schinkel building, thus spatially very limited.

The project is more or less shelved following the death of Heinz Nixdorf on 17 March .
However, the responsible NCAG employee Willi Lenz ensures that contact with the city of Paderborn is maintained and a " computer museum " working group is kept going.
