The company underwent several restructurings and transformed itself from an inexpensive fast-food seller into a chain of casual dining seafood restaurants by 1988.
Currently the town is still reliant on dense heavy industry but is slowly restructuring the heavy industry influence and developing other economic activities.
However economic reform had slowed in areas such governance, enterprise restructuring and competition policy, which remained substantially below the standard of other developed market economies.
