There were endemic triple-fins, nudibranch sea slugs, kina, squid, hiwihiwi, leather jackets, juvenile snapper and red moki and even camouflaged sea hare.
This species feeds mainly on bony fishes, including eels, squirrelfishes, snappers, damselfishes, parrotfishes, surgeonfishes, triggerfishes, and goatfishes, as well as octopus, spiny lobsters, and crabs.
