The phase III , placebo-controlled , randomized study of Everolimus ( RAD001 ) for the treatment of patients with tuberous sclerosis ( TSC ) and subependymal giant cell astrocytoma ( SEGA ) has closed its enrollment .
After positive evaluation of efficacy and safety of everolimus, the study has now entered its 4 year extension phase since March2, 2011.

Die Plazebo-kontrollierte, randomisierte Phase III Studie zur Behandlung von Patienten mit Tuberöser Sklerose (TSC) und einem subependymalen Riesenzellastrozytom (SEGA) mit Everolimus hat die Rekrutierung beendet.
Nach positivem Nachweis der Wirksamkeit und guten Verträglichkeit von Everolimus befindet sich die Studie seit dem 2.3.2011 in der 4 jährigen Extensionsphase.
