On April 18th 2012, the association Circo Baixada received, by the local public power, a title of Public Utility, representing the force of its great works toward the rights of children and adolescents.
Implemented by Terre des hommes, during the years of 2002, Circo Baixada re-socialized young people in situation of vulnerability and street life, by a reinsertion through a circus program, promoting social actions to improve kids and adolescentes lives.
With this title, the Circo Baixada, located in Baixada Fluminense at Rio de Janeiro State, became officially the Association Circo Social Baixada, a non-governmental organization, which will keep on doing a great work initiated by the delegation of Tdh in Brazil, in benefit of Children and Adolescents Rights.

Der von Terre des hommes im Jahr 2002 gegründete Zirkus Baixada resozialisiert Strassenkinder, die mit Hilfe eines Zirkusprogramms wieder in die Gesellschaft eingegliedert werden, während soziale Massnahmen die Lebensumstände der Kinder und Jugendlichen verbessern.
Mit diesem Titel wird der in Baixada Fluminense, im Bundesstaat Rio de Janeiro, ansässige Zirkus Baixada offiziell zur Vereinigung Circo Social Baixada.
