The aim of this project is to publish a monograph on the role of fictionality in economic action.
The book will draw on several years of research about the action-theoretical foundations of economic sociology, innovation processes, the creation of symbolic value, and the operation of money in the economy.

Sie entsteht auf der Basis einer jahrelangen Forschungsarbeit zu den handlungstheoretischen Grundlagen der Wirtschaftssoziologie, zu Innovationsprozessen, zur Bedeutung symbolischer Konstruktion von Wert und der Funktionsweise des Geldes.

His scientific research about regional rural development, political geography and action-theoretical geography of culture (religion, migration and everyday culture) and its related projects were funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Society), the fund of the Volkswagenwerk and the Fundação Araucária (Brazil).
In addition he received stipends from the Friedrich Ebert-Stiftung and the Brazilian Research Council (CNPq).
www.zis.uni-mainz.de1997 wanderte er endgültig nach Brasilien aus, wo er am Geographischen Institut der Bundesuniversität von Paraná ( UFPR ) in Curitiba tätig ist.
Seine wissenschaftlichen Forschungsarbeiten zur ländlichen Regionalentwicklung, zur poltischen Geographie und zu einer handlungstheoretischen Geographie des Kulturellen (Religion, Migration, Alltagskultur) wurden im Rahmen von Projekten der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft, der Stiftung Volkswagenwerk und der Fundação Araucária (Brasilien) durchgeführt.
Außerdem war er Stipendiat der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung sowie des Brasilianischen Forschungsrates (CNPq).
