photos.eisenbach.atIt passes through the Kreuzwegallee ( the Via Crucis Avenue-of-Trees ) and the adjacent district of Sandfeld toward Schönthal.
From there the route continues alongside the old railway line and at the Willebadessener Straße ( L763 ) up to the “ Kleinen Herrgott ” and the “ Foresters ’ Crosses ”.
These were erected in honour of two foresters from the area of Wrede, Gies and Steinsträter, who were murdered in pursuit of poachers 125 years ago.
