Sebastian Schirber und Dr. Elisa Manzini, Abteilung „Atmosphäre im Erdsystem“ am Max-Planck-Institut für Meteorologie (MPI-M), stellen gemeinsam mit Co-Autorin Dr. Joan Alexander eine Veröffentlichung vor, in der sie zeigen wie die quasi-zweijährige Oszillation (QBO) durch eine neue Parametrisierung von konvektionsabhängigen Schwerewellen in allgemeinen Zirkulationsmodellen verbessert werden kann.

Sebastian Schirber and Dr. Elisa Manzini from the department „The Atmosphere in the Earth System“ at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) with co-author Dr. Joan Alexander present a new publication how to improve the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO) due to a convection-based gravity wave parameterization in general circulation models.
