Ubiquitin und SUMO (small ubiquitin related modifier) sind selbst kleine Proteine, die an der dynamischen Regulation der Proteinfunktion beteiligt sind, wie z.B. Stabilität, Aktivität, intrazelluläre Lokalisierung der Proteine etc.
Wir untersuchen, wie die kovalente Verknüpfung dieser kleinen Modifizierer an ihre Substrate reguliert wird.
