Der häufigste Zonentyp der Böden sind mitteleuropäische Braunerden, am interessantesten ( für die Vegetation ) sind Rendzinen auf kristallinischen Kalksteinen und magnesiumhaltige Rendzinen auf den Serpentiniten.
Ein großer Teil der Böden im Bezirk ist vom hohen Spiegel des Grundwassers (Gley- und Torfböden) beeinflusst; das Prozent der dauernd nassen Böden steigt in den letzten Jahren, weil ein großer Teil der früher bestellten Grundstücke brach liegen bleibt.
