Am kaudalen Ende des Tuberculum impar entsteht die Anlage der Thyroidea ( Stadium 10, ca. 28 Tage, 10 ) als unpaare ventrale Aussprossung des Endoderms.
Diese wandert in ihrer weitere Entwicklung vor dem Vorderdarm bis in die Region der Thoraxapertur und hinterlässt an der Stelle der Aussprossung am Zungengrund das Foramen caecum.
Das hintere Drittel wird von Material der Fusionsstelle des 2. und 3. Pharyngealbogens, der Copula, und wenigen Anteile des 4. Pharyngealbogens gebildet.

In its further development it migrates in front of the larynx and, at the invagination site at the tongue base, leaves behind the foramen cecum.
The posterior third is formed from the material of the fusion site of the 2nd and 3rd pharyngeal arches, the copula, and a small portion of the 4th pharyngeal arch.

Nur im Bereich des Sigmoids bleibt die Verklebung aus und dieser Teil bleibt intraperitoneal mit einem Mesosigmoideum.
