Mit der von der Mitgliederversammlung am 16. / 17. November 2011 verabschiedeten Strategie 2012-2016 hat die COHEP folgende prioritäre Entwicklungsperspektiven formuliert :
Äussere und innere Tertiarisierung Die äussere Tertiarisierung der strukturellen Voraussetzungen (Qualifikation des Personals an PH, Zulassung an die PH, Ausbildung, Forschung, Weiterbildung) und die innere Tertiarisierung der Lehr- und Lernformen und der Praxis von Forschung & Entwicklung sind hochschuladäquat und entsprechen dem Auftrag der PH.
