Basierend auf einer statistischen Analyse kristallographisch aufgelöster Protein-Ligand-Komplexe der Protein Data Bank ( PDB ) wird ein Modell für Metallwechselwirkungen entwickelt.
Dieses Modell beinhaltet die Identifizierung der Metall-koordinierenden Liganden, die Berechnung der vorhandenen Koordinationsgeometrie und der Superpositionierung optimaler Polyeder zur Identifizierung der freien Interaktionsstellen.
Das neue Metall-Interaktionsmodell wird in die Docking Software FlexX integriert.

The new model includes the identification of the metal-coordinating ligands, the selection of the coordination geometry and the superposition of ideal polyhedrons to identify the optimal positions for free interaction sites.
The new interaction model is integrated in the docking software FlexX.
