Auf PACT Zollverein Essen präsentiert sie mit der spanischen Performancekünstlerin La Ribot das burleske Duett Gustavia (2008) und Pavlova 3'23' (2009), eine zeitgenössische Referenz an das klassische Ballett »Der sterbende Schwan«.

Indem Rosefeldt die Bühne zum Schauplatz sich selbst reproduzierender Systeme macht, geht er den umgekehrten Schritt wie viele Theaterregisseure und Performancekünstler der letzten Jahrzehnte, die immer wieder gegen die „vierte Wand“ rebellierten und dabei den Verdacht gegenüber der Illusion zum Fetisch eines projektiven Realismus machten.
Rosefeldt dagegen schließt den Bühnenraum ab, er versiegelt ihn, er lässt ihn zu einem autonomen Raum werden.

By using the stage as the scene of selfreproducing systems, Rosefeldt takes the opposite road from many theater directors and performance artists of the past decades, who repeatedly rebelled against the “fourth wall” and in doing so made suspicion, in the place of illusion, the fetish of a projective realism.
Rosefeldt, in contrast, closes off the stage, seals it, turns it into an autonomous space.
