Zum einen kann man das Mundstück um einen vorhandenen Pinchtwist geknotet werden, zum anderen kann der Anfang eines neuen Ballons als Pinchtwist in einen vorhandenen Ballon eingefügt werden.
Für letzteres wird der Pinchtwist unter eine Einschnürung gelegt und dann oben um diese Einschnürung herumgewickelt (Abbildung 9).
