Der JERUSALEMTAG
wird am 28. Iyar, ungefähr eine Woche vor Shavuot, gefeiert - anläßlich der Wiedervereinigung Jerusalems, der Hauptstadt Israels, im Jahre 1967 nach neunzehnjähriger Teilung der Stadt durch Betonmauern und Stacheldraht.
An diesem Tag werden wir daran erinnert, daß Jerusalem " der Mittelpunkt der jüdischen Geschichte, das Symbol alten Ruhms, geistiger Erfüllung und moderner Erneuerung " ist.

This day is celebrated on 28th of Iyar, about one week before Shavuot, because of the reunification of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel in the year 1967 after a 19-year partition of the city by concrete walls and barbed wire.
On this day, we are reminded, that Jerusalem is the “ center of Jewish history, the symbol of ancient glory, spiritual fulfillment and modern renewal ”.
