Claudius Tanski wurde 1959 in Essen geboren.
Er studierte an der Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen (Prof. Georg Stieglitz), an der Universität Mozarteum (Prof. Hans Leygraf), in Wien (Prof. Heinz Medjimorec) und später in London bei Alfred Brendel.
