There is another word, "camerata", which has the specific meaning of comrade-in-arms or fellow soldier, and is used by nationalist and militarist right-wing groups.
It is militarist, viewing political disputes and conflict from a military standpoint as battles requiring fighting, mobilization, battlefields, bastions and trenches.
