Three to four large and attractive, fragrant flowers, 8 cm across, then appear from the base of the mature leafless pseudobulb in a pubescent inflorescence.
It is an aromatic annual herb growing erect, its sturdy stem topped with a rounded, headlike inflorescence or interrupted series of two or more clusters.
