The department has crops of rice, corn, onion, sweet orange, banana, sweet potato, sour orange, beans, tomatoes, pineapple, grapefruit, grapes, peas and potatoes.
It is also important the production of locote, sweet potatoes, banana, pepper, trtago, coffee, pineapple, grapefruit and kaa hee (a natural sweetener herb).
Some cultivars of citrus fruits (especially navel oranges), satsumas, mandarin oranges, table grapes, grapefruit, and watermelons are valued for their seedlessness.
