In addition to music concerts, in recent years the festival also hosts various baroque-themed cultural events including art exhibitions, book presentations and gastronomic events.
The priests designated as "epulones", or masters of the feast, organized and carried out the ritual, and acted as gastronomic proxies in eating the food.
