ont.uni-paderborn.deOrtsspezifische skulpturale Installation, bestehend aus gemeißelten Felsbrocken, sorgsam ausgewählt in Fujairah, wo Steinbrüche in dem gebirgigen Emirat Sprengungen durchführen, um eine Reihe von Baustoffen und Steinen zu gewinnen, die im Straßenbau, Beton, der Befestigung der Küste und für die Infrastruktur Verwendung finden.
Jeder dieser Brocken hat ein zylindrisches Loch, das durch ihn hindurchgeht.

Die der Wahrnehmung von Beschleunigungsbewegungen dienenden Cristae ampullares der Bogengänge des Innenohrs besitzen Typ I- (flaschenförmigen Haarzellen) und Typ II-Zellen (zylindrische Haarzellen) auf deren Oberfläche 5 - 25 µm lange Stereocilien zu finden sind.
Der im Querschnitt runde Durchmesser der Stereocilien variiert zwischen 100 nm an der Basis und etwas höher 250 nm.
