In mathematischer Notation entsprechen die gebundenen Zustände Eigenwerten des Laplace-Operators.
Das Ziel unseres Projektes ist es, mit Hilfe einer geeigneten geometrischen Deformation, des sogenannten Twisting (Verdrehen), die Entstehung der gebundenen Zustände, die in der Praxis zum Sinken des Stroms im Wellenleiter führt, zu vermeiden.
