Wir interessieren uns sowohl für die Physiologie als auch die Pathologie von Lernen und Gedächtnis / synaptischer Plastizität.
Auf physiologischer Ebene untersuchen wir, welchen Beitrag synaptische Plastizität, Ortszellen und neuronale Oszillationen zum Lernen leisten, und wie Lernen die synaptische Plastizität bei Gesundheit und Krankheit beeinflusst.
Dabei werden in vivo Elektrophysiologie und EEG-Analysen mit Verhaltens-Lernmodellen und Tiermodellen von Gehirnerkrankungen kombiniert.
