Für die Entwicklung von Modellvorstellungen zur Zellkernorganisation und Genompathologie in Interphase werden Simulationsrechnungen durchgeführt.
Dazu wird jedes Chromosom des diploiden Chromosomensatzes eines Genoms durch lineare Polymerketten angenähert (z.B. 46 Ketten beim menschlichen Genom).

For the developement of models regarding nuclear organisation and genomic pathology in interphse, computer simulations are being performed.
For this purpose each chromosome of the diploid chromosome set of a genome is described by a linear polymer chain. (e.g. 46 chains for the human genome).
