Ziel der Zusammenarbeit ist es, das Potenzial mobiler Geräte und Plattformen in der Landwirtschaft an konkreten Beispielen aufzuzeigen, die Technologien in der Prototypentwicklung zu evaluieren und Lessons Learned bzw. Best Practices für die Entwicklung mobiler Anwendungen im Kontext von John Deere zu identifizieren.
Im Projekt » Grower ’ s Notebook « wurde eine mobile Task-Management-Lösung für Landwirte, Lohnunternehmer und deren Angestellte konzipiert und prototypisch umgesetzt.
Dabei kann ein Landwirt bzw. ein Lohnunternehmer einen Auftrag bzw. Task auf einem iPad anlegen, wie beispielswiese das Ernten eines bestimmten Feldes, und diesen einem seiner Angestellten zuweisen.

In the project “ Grower ’ s Notebook “, a mobile task management solution for farmers, contractors, and their employees was designed and implemented in a prototype.
