Von Bedeutung ist aber vor allem, dass der „ Posidonieto “, die Fläche dieses Seegrases, ein idealer Lebensraum für viele Fischarten, welche hier in großer Zahl vorhanden sind, ist :
Scharen kleiner Seebrassen elektrisierender blauer Farbe schwärmen durch das satte Grün des Seegrases, dann Lippfische, Pfeifenfische, Brassen, Salpen.Auf dem Meeresgrund sind Seesterne und die Edle Steckmuschel zu sehen.
Erfahrenen Tauchern empfehlen wir einen Tauchgang bei den „Formiche della Zanca“, aus dem Wasser ragende Felsen im Westen von Sant’Andrea:

Shoals of small Mediterranean chromis, which are electric blue in colour, swim among the brilliant green of the posidonia, together with wrasses, needle fish, bream and porgie…there are also starfish and noble pen shells on the seabed.
For more experienced divers, there are some very interesting dives near the rocks known as the “Formiche della Zanca”, to the west of Sant’Andrea.
