In den Reservaten Manitobas im Osten Kanadas, in der Wüstenstadt Trona nahe Los Angeles oder in von Arbeitslosigkeit gezeichneten Vororten der ostdeutschen Städte Halle und Chemnitz porträtiert er zumeist junge Leute, für die ein Ausbruch aus einem von Drogen, Armut und Gewalt geprägten Umfeld so gut wie unmöglich erscheint.
Für seine jüngste Serie Jenny Jenny hat der 1973 in Wuppertal geborene Künstler im Berliner Rotlichtmilieu recherchiert.
