Zu den Aufgaben gehören 3D-Positionierung, Navigation, Geodynamik, Monitoring von Umwelt- und Industrieprozessen, 3D-Stadtmodelle, Analyse der Bodenqualität, Landnutzung und Landentwicklung, Kartografie, Mehrzweckkataster, Ressourcenerfassung und Überwachung regionaler und globaler Prozesse.
Den Absolventinnen und Absolventen der Studienrichtung Geomatik und Planung eröffnen sich interessante Arbeitsgebiete und ausgezeichnete berufliche Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten.
