Landwirte, die „Milch ab Hof“ anbieten, müssen keine besonderen Hygieneanforderungen erfüllen, allerdings muss an der Abgabestelle der deutliche Hinweis „Rohmilch, vor dem Verzehr abkochen“ angebracht sein.
Eine weitere Ausnahme ist die Abgabe der sogenannten „Vorzugsmilch“.
