Wildlife include elephants, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, pangolins, elephant shrews, mongooses, civets, galagos, jackals, baboons, hyppopotamuses, colobuses, as well as over 80 species of birds.
The specimens indicate the presence of a toothcomb, making it the earliest fossil primate to indisputably bear this trait, which is unique to all living strepsirrhines (lemurs, lorises, and galagos).
A similar organization by typical movement repertoire has been reported in the posterior parietal cortex of monkeys and galagos and in the motor cortex of rats.
