Ann-Katrin Bockmann worked as the project leader at the Universität Göttingen ’ s Institute for Psychology in the Educational Psychology and Development Psychology department from 2001 to 2007.
As part of the GESAgT project ( Göttinger Entwicklungsstudie Sprache Arbeitsgedächtnis und Theory of Mind – Göttingen developmental study on speech, working memory, and the theory of the mind ), she studied differential speech development from the second to eighth year of life.
She is currently working on her Habilitation ( postdoctoral university degree with lecture qualification ) on the early linguistic development of children growing up both monolingual and multilingual as a research associate at the University of Hildesheim ’ s Institute for psychology and is the acting head of the Kind im Mittelpunkt ( KiM ) educational and research clinic.

Aktuell habilitiert sie zum Thema frühe Sprachentwicklung ein- und mehrsprachig aufwachsender Kinder als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin des Psychologischen Instituts der Universität Hildesheim und ist stellvertretende Leitung der Lehr- und Forschungsambulanz „ Kind im Mittelpunkt “ ( KiM ).
