In Ghana, Westafrika, hat die Holz verarbeitende Firma Samartex initiiert, ehemalige Holzeinschlagsflächen nachhaltig zu bewirtschaften, um so die Artenvielfalt zu erhalten und zusätzliche Einkommensquellen für die ländliche Bevölkerung zu schaffen.
Dieses Oda-Kotoamso Community Agroforestry Project, kurz OCAP, wird in Zusammenarbeit mit Grundbesitzern, Pächtern, staatlichen Behörden und mit technischer Unterstützung des Deutschen Entwicklungs dienstes durchgeführt.
Finanzielle Unterstützung kommt von der Deutschen Investitions- und Entwicklungs-GmbH.

This Oda-Kotoamso Community Agroforestry Project, or OCAP for short, is run in collaboration between the landowners, tenants, the state authorities and with the technical support of the German development Service.
