www.ifg.uni-kiel.deDieser ist somit ein Ort stark konzentrierten Magnetfeldes, wobei im schwarzen Bereich ( Umbra ) die Feldlinien senkrecht aus der Oberfläche austreten, im darumliegenden Ring ( Penumbra ) wird der Austrittswinkel kleiner.
Das starke Magnetfeld in diesem Bereich vermindert die Konvektion und damit den Energietransport.
Somit sinkt die Temperatur um ca. 2000 Kelvin ab und der Fleck erscheint dunkel.
